VIVO IPL FAN PARK 2019 @ BELGAUM – A Near-Stadium Experience
IPL 2019 is way underway and for cricket lovers this is the time to get together and make the most of team bonding or outings. Be it at the stadium or just hand out at the local pubs and restaurants. The entire nation is gripped and glued to the sets to watch the outcome.Being a cricket fan, the experience of watching the match from the stadium is surreal.
The live action, the adrenaline rush that you get sitting there with fans, cheering for your home team is an experience on its own. This year I had the opportunity to visit a special city Belgaum, and to experience and share the VIVO IPL FAN PARK moments. And boy oh boy I am still reeling from it.
What is an IPL FAN PARK?
IN 2015 BCCI took the initiative to spread the fervour of the IPL matches to all parts of the country. All those cities without stadiums get to experience near-stadium experience. Large screens to display the matches live, hard-core spirited fans cheering on, open-air, bright light and ambiance with food and fun games for all. BCCI gained gained huge traction by drawing fans towards watching the IPL.
Now spread across 21 states and 36 cities, community viewing gets a social change and looks to cover more in the future.

What you get at the IPL FAN PARK?
– FREE ENTRY- ENTERTAINMENT OVERLOADED
– CHANCES TO WIN VIVO SMARTPHONES
– MERCHANDISE STORES, FOOD STALLS AND EXTRA ACTIVITIES
A NEAR STADIUM EXPERIENCE –
Once you pass the security check, its overwhelming, the music and the fans all geared up in the favorite team T-shirts and flags. The food counters across had some light eats and drinks to keep one sated. Each corner of the park had activities for kids and grown-ups alike to play. Indoor cricket to test your bowling or batting skills. Painting section, a cricket roulette and a fancy bouncing castle for kids to enjoy. Overall a fun-filled day for the entire family.
I would highly recommend all to give it a go. In fact, BCCI should go ahead and share this amphitheatre experience across many more cities and in the rural areas It gives the entire family and friends some time to hang out together and enjoy the picnic sort of atmosphere.
The day that I spent in Belgaum, was just touching from the crowd to the game. I would love to visit again. The people were warm and friendly. Best part were the kids who enjoyed dancing to the tunes and in front of my camera as I recorded some fun moments. A glorious memory to have and post about.
Have you experienced an IPL Fan Park before? Here is a snapshot of my time Belgaum.
Also a big shoutout to Native by Chancery Hotels for hosting me during my short stay in Belgaum. And DNA Networks for the opportunity to travel and experience and cover this extravagant IPL Screening in Belgaum.
