A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles, so start each day with a grateful heart!
Sometimes the heart knows things…the mind cannot explain. Living in a chaotic and restless world, it is impossible for us to find peace and the quite time we need to unwind. We get burdened by society to lead a certain lifestyle. In this era, technology rules over us. We have become mere puppets. We are on our phones or laptops or any gadget – you name it and we are on it!! Our mind is overflowing with thoughts constantly. We are unable to cope with the pressure, and hence suffer from stress and depression. Having a calm mind has become the latest luxury. We seek to get onto the digital detox bandwagon to find ourselves.
The last couple of years, with a rough patch of bad health, my mother’s passing (which was the biggest set-back). It has been very hard to let her go!! I have tried to focus and meditate to find inner healing!
The invite to Kanha Shanti Vanam in Hyderabad was what the doctor ordered! I have had the opportunity to experience a meditation process which has been an eye-opener for me.
Did you know ‘Sahaj Marg; is form of ‘Raja Yoga’, which is a heart-based meditation system. It is a combined process of Meditation, Cleaning and Prayer.

Meditate with your Heart?
Heartfulness meditation has nothing to do with any culture or religious belief, neither does it ask you to stray away or convert! The teachings on meditation help us to stay focused to find ourselves, and lead a more healthy and balanced lifestyle.
We tend to focus on our mind and body more, and forget the importance of our heart. The heart being the most vital organ, it works non stop to keep us alive. Final Thoughts
Overall, I had a wonderful time at the retreat centre with fellow influencer’s from the city of Bangalore and met a lot of lovely people during my stay. From Leila, the gorgeous yoga instructor to Elizabeth Denley, who is the Editor-in-Chief at ‘Heartfulness Magazine’ and also a meditation practitioner.
To keep negativity away is not as easy as it seems, for we are mere humans. But with practice we can control our negative thoughts. I hope I can use the meditation techniques to help me grow better as a person. Again, we have a choice! If you listen to your heart, your mind, body and soul will find inner peace and balance to help you in the pursuit of happiness. I look forward to reading my copy of the book, and share my experience on meditation and its benefits on a later blog post.
