A Gastronomic Sunday Brunch @ The Market – Ritz Carlton, Bangalore
Call me a food snob, I love food especially quality cuisine and anything that gets my taste buds all tingling, and the plus side an all-you-can-eat brunch. This occasion, I picked the Ritz Carlton Sunday Brunch. After hearing much of the reviews around I wanted to try it first hand for myself. Greeted by the Executive Chef Anupam Banerjee, who is Michelin-Starred, I took a tour of the place to see what was on the menu for the day. I was amazed by the spread and the live kitchens. Everywhere I turned I was overwhelmed by the dishes calling out to me, saying “Try Me”. I was at awe with the amount of food around.
The Market – Located on level 3 at the Ritz Carlton, is an all-day dining restaurant. It is known to draw culinary and flavourful traditional meals of Europe, India and East Asia. There are three interactive show kitchens that is the most appealing to the diners. I shall let the pictures do the talking now.
What is a Sunday Brunch, without some bubbly to savour the gorgeous meal.
Wine Collection & Private Dining – They also have a huge collection of only the finest wines you can get lay your hands on. The Market has its own collection private dining area where you can see these exquisite wines on display.
Now the Food, where could I begin, the sushi counter beckoned and so did the cold cuts and cheese. But knowing I had no where to go post the Brunch I just decided to nib on every bit to sample all the delicious food around me.
No matter how full you get at a Brunch, rule # 1 always pace yourself so you do not over eat. There is always the dessert that you need to make room for. So here is the best part, as you enter the Market, you are greeted with a variety of pastries.
The kids are not left behind with the entertainment, they have a kids section and a mascot too, who has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, from magic to card games. I was tempted to take a click with him.
The service was impeccable, not once was my champagne glass allowed to go empty. The staff was always prompt to get the appetizers or anything you wanted to, even if was a buffet-style spread. The plates were cleared out as soon as it was empty and fresh cutlery was placed. I was overall very impressed with the service here and the spread! Overall, a big thumbs up for the food and setting.
